After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with Highest Honors with a major of Business Statistics And Operations Research, Kelly K. McKinnis earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law and commenced practice in 1983.

 

For more than 31 years, Kelly K. McKinnis, Attorney At Law, has practiced law in the State of Texas in both state and federal courts.  The firm has had a primary emphasis on litigation, trying numerous jury trials in both state and federal court in both civil and criminal proceedings.

 

In addition to the extensive trial practice, Kelly K. McKinnis has represented clients on appeal in the Texas Supreme Court, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Kelly K. McKinnis has the distinction of having had the privilege to appear for oral argument in cases before the Texas Supreme Court, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
